News: WVYC Celebrates Women’s Day

On March 8 West Vancouver Yacht Club hosted their inaugural International Women’s Day event starring Annie Haegar of Canada’s Sail GP team. The event was an overwhelming success; with a sold out crowd of diverse ages and genders, and positive feedback!

Haeger presented her role in Canada’s Sail GP success detailing her route to this professional opportunity via Optis, Lasers, double-handed sailing, Olympic campaigns and all the adventures along the way. Today, Haeger noted, she is, in addition to her SailGP involvement, “a mom, started my own business, loving living in Canada.”
