With the support of many friends and particularly family members, The Nacra 17 team of Madeline Gillis (RNSYC – Halifax) and Galen Richardson (RCYC – Toronto) held a festive ‘Hollywood’ fundraiser at RCYC  in downtown Toronto on Thursday evening.

The Sail Canada Development Squad sailors came within a point of qualifying for Paris ’24 and are now bent on LA 28 (Hollywood, get it?!)  According to the sailors, the needs are primarily coaching and equipment upgrades. They committed to being on the line in LA and doing Canada proud.  The attendees responded in a big way urged on by ebullient MC, Charles Waterman who also serves as president of Broad Reach Canada. “Every one of these silent auction items is priceless,” he urged and the crowd responded with gusto.
