True North Members

The 2014 True North Yachts Psychedelic Rendezvous 2014 was a rousing success! Loyal participants attended for a weekend of fun activities at the Toronto Outer Harbour Marina.

Activities included wine tasting with Hobbs & Co, ask an expert discussion forum with special guest Roy Shipley from CMC Electronics and Robin Ball from Canadian Yachting, an on the water scavenger hunt, dinner catered by Jewell Catering and live entertainment by “The Beatleman” Jeff Keeber. A warm thank to our sponsor Marlow-Hunter and for the generous donations from Beneteau,

ISAF World Cup Mallorca was top of the agenda in April for members of the Canadian Sailing team as a record setting number of sailors flocked to Palma to flex their elite muscles. Isabella Bertold (RVYC) performed consistently well against a stacked Radial roster, placing 11th overall while Greg Douglas (RCYC) showcased several top ten race results throughout the event finishing 12th in the robust Finn fleet. Bayfield Marine Turns 40 with Big April Events

Ron and Pat Reder started out in October 1984 across the road from where they are right now on the Bayfield River in Bayfield ON. The store front was about 10 x 20 and the rest of that side of the building was a stock room, wood finishing room, then behind that was more back stock and the lunchroom. Expanding every few years for the store front, then moving over to this new building five years ago, this year with Adam, Shelley, and Holly are carrying on the business.
