Top Dealers From Across Maritimes Set to Take Part in New Brunswick’s Largest Boat Show

Moncton Boat Show

Be part of the official kickoff to summer fun with the 2015 edition of the Moncton Boat Show, returning the Moncton Coliseum March 27th to 29th. This year’s show will include the most sought-after brands of boats and equipment from the top dealers from across the Maritimes, and will once again be co-located with the New Brunswick Sportsmen’s Show and the Dieppe Fly Fishing Forum, offering visitors three great events for one low price!

“New Brunswick has tons of amazing geographical features that appeal to boaters, so it’s no wonder it’s such a popular pastime,” said Show Manager Scott Sprague. “Boating enthusiasts won’t want to miss this prime opportunity to catch all the major dealers under one roof. Plus, there’ll be some great show-only specials, informative workshops, and we’ll be giving away a brand new boat, courtesy of Iron Wind Marine and Crestliner!”

Featured dealers at this year’s show include:  Advance Motorsports, Atlantic Motoplex, Cabano Marine & Sports, Cobequid Mountain Sports, Hi-Tech Powersports, Iron Wind Marine, Mahone Marine, Patterson Sales & Service Ltd., Quartermaster Marine, and Seamasters Marine Services.

At the show, visitors will want to check out the Discover Boating Centre, with tons of information for both beginner and more advanced boaters. A series of workshops on knot tying and anchoring will also be offered at various times throughout the weekend – the full schedule and session descriptions are available on the show website.

New Boats: Beneteau Oceanis 34.1 – A Sleek, Good -Looking Delight To Sail

By Katherine Stone

There is nothing more that I enjoy than being with friends and messing about in boats. Messing about in brand-new boats on a champagne sailing day on Lake Ontario at the beginning of the summer doesn’t get any better. To have the new owner, Helmuth Strobel and Anchor Yachts dealer Pancho Jimenez aboard made it even more special, as they can also speak to what they truly enjoy about the boat. We keep our own boat in a harbour that has a long waiting list for boats over 35 feet, so this little gem would definitely fit the bill and feels like a much bigger boat. True to the spirit of the 7th generation Oceanis line, the 34.1 is built in Poland and replaces the 35.1. It is 1,000 lbs lighter, 14 cm narrower and has 29% more sail area.
