Simply Sailing school is the fastest growing school on the West Coast, offering the entire range of keel boat sailing: From day sailing programs, to more advanced sailing including offshore sailing across the Pacific from Maui to Vancouver. Last year more than 20% of all basic & intermediate Sail Canada students in BC came through this program.

Bell’s Beer 91st Consecutive Bayview Mackinac Race

Significant changes have been made to the 91st 2015 Bell’s Beer Bayview Mackinac Race in order to enhance the race experience, and by the looks of it, sailors are embracing them wholeheartedly.  With registration having opened a month earlier than last year, more than 85 teams have entered. The event, which last year accommodated 226 boats, starts Saturday, July 18 on Lake Huron and is hosted by Bayview Yacht Club, which notably celebrates its 100th Anniversary this year.

Bayfield Marine Turns 40 with Big April Events

Ron and Pat Reder started out in October 1984 across the road from where they are right now on the Bayfield River in Bayfield ON. The store front was about 10 x 20 and the rest of that side of the building was a stock room, wood finishing room, then behind that was more back stock and the lunchroom. Expanding every few years for the store front, then moving over to this new building five years ago, this year with Adam, Shelley, and Holly are carrying on the business.
