Heading to US: Public Advisory from US Customs & Border Patrol

Note: this information applies to Lake Ontario but indicates what is expected by US authorities across the border.

BUFFALO, N.Y. – U.S. Customs and Border Protection announces the reopening of small boat reporting locations for both essential and non-essential travel. Operational dates differ by location, for more information you may contact those specific locations.

Beginning April 15, the following small boating locations will begin to re-open and resume operations for CBP processing utilizing the ROAM App and installed iPads. For further information on individual location re-opening dates, contact the small boating location direct.

When attempting to enter the U.S., travelers should be prepared by doing the following:
• Have a valid Western Hemisphere Travel Initiative document, such as a passport, Trusted Traveler Program card, or Enhanced Tribal Card.
• Possess proof of an approved COVID-19 vaccination as outlined on the CDC website.
• Verbally attest to their travel intent and COVID-19 vaccination status and be prepared to present any documents requested by the CBP officer face-to-face or virtually.

Just when you thought you might never see the Galley Guys again, there they were waving from the flying bridge of a Le Boat Horizon 3 gliding down the Trent Severn Waterway (TSW) in the sun. Glorious!

In the past the Galley Guys have travelled far and wide to great locations to explore the good life on a boat. However, this year we stayed in our own backyard for a real treat; cruising The Trent Severn Waterway.
