Canadian Yachting‘s Galley Guys will be at TIBS in their starring roles.

It’s a wonderful January tradition. We pack up our snappy booth, magazines, cameras and logo’d shirts then head down to the show. It’s called work for us, but mostly it’s an excuse to get away from the screen, hang out with real people and shoot the breeze about boating. Let’s face it, that’s at least the secondary purpose (the first being seeing the next boat) for most visitors to TIBS.

Drop by and say Ahoy. We’re at booth # 1720 and we look forward to seeing you.

The Whitsunday Islands

On my first day as a commercially registered yacht captain, I sailed a Fontaine Pajot 38 catamaran from mainland Australia across the Whitsunday Passage to the western shores of the world-famous Whitsunday islands.

We cruised northeast on a 15-knot beam reach… perfect catamaran sailing conditions, watching the hazy shapes of the islands colourize and morph into crescent beaches, jungled ridgelines and rocky outcrops.
