Tying up in the dark can be romantic but it’s not always easy. Glorope’s GLOcleats take their energy from exposure to daylight and make it easier to find the boat cleats or dock cleats.

These glow products are embedded with specialized photoluminescent glow pigment crystals that are charged by UV and ambient light. These particles get excited by UV or ultraviolet light. We refer to the side with the pigment as the “Coated Side”.  A suitable charge will allow Glorope’s products to hold a glow for 8-10 hours.

Spotted! Canadian Boating in Antigua & Barbuda

I wore my Canadian Boating cap everywhere I went in Antigua, for the sun, not for the shout-outs. But I sure received a lot of them.

Antigua Sailing Week is an international regatta that draws sailors of every level and spectators from all over the world. Yet I couldn’t walk across a room without being hailed by a Canadian who was as excited to see my cap as they were to see the racing. I met many who were on their 3rd, 4th and 5th visit.
