Mercury Racing Expands Revolution X Propeller Family

November 5, 2026

Mercury Racing recently introduced the new REV XR and REV XST propellers at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show expanding the Revolution X propeller family with two new Pro Finish options engineered to enhance performance and give Mercury V10 Verado customers greater control over boat lift characteristics.

Both the REV XR and REV XST are hand-finished by Mercury Racing to Pro Finish specifications and are expected to deliver approximately 150 additional RPM compared with a stock Revolution X propeller.

The two models offer distinct options based on a boater’s performance goals and hull characteristics. The REV XR features a standard barrel length, while the REV XST incorporates a shortened barrel designed to reduce stern lift. Both models are available in 20- through 33-pitch configurations.

“The right propeller can make a significant difference in how a boat performs, and every hull and setup has different needs,” said Mercury Racing’s Nick Petersen. “The REV XR and REV XST give V10 Verado customers more options to optimize their setup and achieve the performance characteristics they’re looking for.”

The REV XR and REV XST build on the Revolution X platform by bringing Mercury Racing’s Pro Finish treatment to V10 Verado customers looking to optimize performance for their specific application.

The recommended hub kit for both propellers is 8M0182969.

The Whitsunday Islands

By Mathew Channer

On my first day as a commercially registered yacht captain, I sailed a Fontaine Pajot 38 catamaran from mainland Australia across the Whitsunday Passage to the western shores of the world-famous Whitsunday islands.

We cruised northeast on a 15-knot beam reach… perfect catamaran sailing conditions, watching the hazy shapes of the islands colourize and morph into crescent beaches, jungled ridgelines and rocky outcrops.
