Se voulant le porte-parole de tous les aspects commerciaux de l’industrie de la navigation de plaisance au Canada, les membres de l’Association canadienne de l’industrie nautique (ACIN) représentent plus de 800 entreprises membres à travers le pays. L’ACIN, qui s’est dotée de son premier conseil d’administration en mars, a été formée pour créer une voix nationale cohérente et constructive pour les questions de représentation au nom du secteur de la navigation de plaisance. Le Québec y est présent, Nautisme Québec ayant annoncé que son président, Marc-André Loyer, est maintenant l’un des directeurs de l’ACIN. « De plus, notre directrice générale, Josée Côté, en est la trésorière, en plus d’avoir été nommée pour siéger sur le conseil d’administration du National Marine Manufacturers Association Canada (NMMA). »
