Boats: Beneteau Flyer 9 Sundeck

Beneteau Flyer 9 Sundeck

Nov 23, 2023

RCR’s broker, Corbo Corbishley, had a demo Beneteau Flyer 9 Sundeck for several weeks early this summer and had the opportunity to run the boat on several occasions in varied conditions. Here are his thoughts on this comfortable, outboard-powered, innovative boat from Beneteau.

Overall Impression: “This boat checks a LOT of boxes!”

Favorite Features:

#1. Performance: “The two 250 hp Mercury Verados can push this boat quickly up to 50+ knots. The ride feels solid, like a much larger boat. The engines are very quiet. Maneuvering around the marina and docking is a breeze with the twin throttle/shifters and bow thruster for fine tuning.”

#2. Spacious Interior: “There are two sleeping areas below large enough for two adults in each, an enclosed head, and a galley with a microwave oven. More than enough to make it a comfortable weekender.”

#3. Loaded with Features: “To name a few of my favorites, in no particular order: the opening side platform that allows you enlarge the cockpit; 8000 BTU A/C; upgraded Fusion Sound System with six speakers and Sub-Woofer powered by a 600W amp; 12″ Garmin MFD; sturdy SS Water Ski mast/tow bar; bimini and more.

#4. The Sundeck: “A huge sunpad forward can accommodate three sunbathers and the aft bench seat folds down making another large area for sun worshipers.”
