C-TowA C-Tow membership means fast, emergency response 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Each call is personally answered, with C-Tows own local and knowledgeable Captains ready to respond. When emergencies happen, C-Tow has access to an extensive network to serve boaters wherever and whenever they need help.

C-Tow offers 3 packages – Admiral, Captain and Commander Package and serves the Canadian waters of British Columbia, Ontario and Newfoundland.  There is a free marine assistance app for easy access to assistance via single-click sending GPS coordinates directly to C-Tow.  The app also includes local information such as a forecast summary, tides and bouys nearby and a map.

Tahiti—Updates from Paradise

I’ve been to Tahiti seven times—six on charter and once as crew for a couple of yachties. Over the 25 years that I’ve been visiting, it’s changed dramatically. Yet, inexplicably, it has also stayed the same.

Lounging on the flybridge of our Sunsail 454, I had time to think about this dichotomy as I toasted the nighttime skies of Bora Bora and specifically the Southern Cross, a constellation that never fails to hypnotize. As the Crosby, Stills & Nash (1982) tune reminds us:

…you understand now why you came this way.
