Jeanneau Media Event in Florida – New Models

John Armstrong Jeanneau St Petersburg

July 25, 2019

John Armstrong stands at the helm of the new Leader 7.5 Center Console as we prepare to head out.

Our Canadian Yachting test team, John Armstong and Andy Adams, were at a Jeanneau media event called “Throttle Down” in St. Petersburg, Florida. The media event was held to highlight the Jeanneau Power Boat Line with the emphasis on their outboard models.

The media event was scheduled to follow their Jeanneau dealer meetings, held earlier at Thunder Marine International in St. Petersburg. The Thunder Marine location is on the water and has a cooperative agreement with Jeanneau to host the full line of Jeanneau power boats in the water for dealer demonstration to their clients.

Armstrong and Adams were especially focused on the new Leader 7.5 Centre Console and the new NC 895 Sport models that were being introduced at the event.

The Leader 7.5 Centre Console breaks new ground in the centre console market by being designed around passenger comfort and onboard activities more than fishing, although it is certainly suitable for fishing as well.

The new NC 895 Sport is also a cruiser that forges new design directions with an emphasis on the activity side of boating; fishing features, highly convertible seating and cockpit space, and such equipment as carrying racks on the hardtop for accessorises like stand up paddle boards.

Jeanneau is redefining the activity side of boating and taking advantage of the great new outboard engines to deliver strong performance at attractive price points.

We will feature full reviews on both the Leader 7.5 Centre Console and the NC 895 Sport in Canadian Yachting magazine. Stay tuned for some exciting reviews on these new boats.

Centre console designs have been developed for the southern blue water sport fishing enthusiasts (and this boat would raise fish with the best of them) but the Pursuit S 268 Sport centre console offers far more utility and enjoyment than just fishing.

Expanding every few years for the store front, then moving over to this new building five years ago, this year with Adam, Shelley, and Holly are carrying on the business.
