Ryan Anderson

Ryan Anderson, a 16-year old laser radial sailor from the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron, finished fifth overall at the 2018 Europa Cup in Dziwnow, Poland (Aug 11-13), capturing a bronze medal in the U19 division. He was top Canadian at the regatta. 

Following a six-day training camp in Puck, Poland with four other Canadian Laser Radial Class athletes, Ryan put a consistent eight-race series together over the three days of the Europa Cup Poland. Ryan will now travel to Kiel, Germany for the 2018 World U19 Laser Radial Class Championships (Aug 18-25 ) where 385 athletes are expected to test the Baltic waters.

Last December, Ryan represented Canada in the Laser Radial finishing 15th at the World Youth ( U19) Sailing Championships in Sanya, China where 51 countries were represented.

Coaching Ryan in Europe along with four fellow Canadians is former Laser Radial World Championship silver medalist, Polish National, Alek Arian.
