Canadian Sailing Team Member, Tom Ramshaw (Finn) finishes 5th place after today’s medal race at the 2018 Sailing World Championships Aarhus in Denmark. After all of his hard work, and consistency during this event, Tom has qualified the country for a spot in the Finn class at the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo.

While racing continues over the next few days, Laser Radial sailor Sarah Douglas is currently sitting in 6th place, heading into medal races tomorrow.

Sailors are competing for more than a medal at this event, as the Sailing World Championships are the first and largest qualification regatta for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo. With 40% of the places being decided at this event, sailors will need to push hard to make their way up the scoreboard.
