Introducing a new feature – Stuff That Works

New Feature

June 14, 2018

Each day we get a barrage of product information from all over the globe. Some of it is just hype, some of it isn’t suited to Canada and some of it we have seen many times before.

But some of it looks interesting, so on your behalf we are going to start a new place to take a look at some that are appealing. The idea is to find useful valuable boating accessories and supplies that are innovative and useful: stuff that works. If it’s Canadian, that’s even better.

I have now unpacked a length of Night Saver Buoyant Heaving/Rescue Rope and installed it on the stern rail. It is de-kinking for the upcoming test. This Nova Scotia-made product from Canada Rope and Twine gleams in the daylight but I will take some shots in the night, and report back in an upcoming issue.

For manufacturers and distributors interested in being part of this, there are but two rules – the product has to be available in Canada and we have to be able to borrow it for informal tests on one of our team’s boats. CYOnboard@kerrwil.com is how to reach us.

Expanding every few years for the store front, then moving over to this new building five years ago, this year with Adam, Shelley, and Holly are carrying on the business.
