Last Friday, Brenda Bowskill of Royal Canadian Yacht Club was honoured with the most prestigious national sailing award of the year at the Carlu in Toronto, Ontario.

Since competing in the 2016 Olympic Games, Brenda Bowskill has continued to make gains as she remains laser focused on her goal of representing Canada a second time at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. Her continuous dedication in training showed at the 2017 Laser Radial World Championship in Medemblik, Netherlands, where she placed fifth, solidifying a Canadian record at this event.

Over the last year, Brenda has been working tirelessly in the gym and on the water, while also taking the time to complete her final semester of Nursing at Ryerson University. Her ability to tackle both of her goals with determination and drive is a testament to her strong character.

Brenda was presented with an exquisite watch from Rolex Canada.Congratulations to Brenda Bowskill and all the Rolex Sailor of the Year Finalists including, Al Clark and Rossi Milev.

Bayfield Marine Turns 40 with Big April Events

Ron and Pat Reder started out in October 1984 across the road from where they are right now on the Bayfield River in Bayfield ON. The store front was about 10 x 20 and the rest of that side of the building was a stock room, wood finishing room, then behind that was more back stock and the lunchroom. Expanding every few years for the store front, then moving over to this new building five years ago, this year with Adam, Shelley, and Holly are carrying on the business.
