International One Designs at South Shore Marine

The folks at South Shore Marine are following the success of their first IOD Zephyr II (now sailing out of the Manhattan Yacht Club) with more news boats.

While fibreglass boating building can be a messy process and lacks the romance associated with traditional wooden boatbuilding, there is something special when a new hull emerges from the mould like a butterfly form a cocoon. At least when the butterfly is a beautiful classic shape such as the IODs.

Chris Power of Sunnybrook Yachts took this nice video of the most recent IOD to emerge at the South Shore Marine shop.

The company continues to grow their glass moulding business with Bluenose Class sloops and the NorseBoat 17.5.
