MK Bay Marina

MK Marina

June 20, 2017

The MK Bay Marina is part of the Mill Bay Group. This oasis for boaters venturing up the northwest coast of British Columbia is a real gem. Along the way to the Marina make sure you drop in to the Weewanie Hot Springs Provincial Park on east side of Devastation Channel.

Located approximately 38 km south of the town of Kitimat BC, you will find these soothing hot springs can be a great relief after a long day on the water. All of these natural hot springs are located on the ocean shores.

These remote, private and boat-only access, crystal clear, all natural mineral hot springs in BC are well known attractions on the west coast of Canada! Come and plan to enjoy some time at the top at Bishop Bay for hot springs soaking at Bishop Bay-Monkey Beach, one of the most popular marine hot springs and boat anchorage site along the Inside Passage. Local boaters, as well as those going to or coming from Alaska, commonly stop off for a warm bathe in the natural pools, before heading into the MK Marina in Kitimat.

MK Bay Marina is a full service marina strategically located on the headwaters of the Douglas Channel near the community of Kitimat and adjacent to the traditional Haisla Nation Territory. They offer long term and short-term moorage, ocean view campsites, land storage and haul outs. Their store provides ice, food, clothing and a wide variety of tackle and boating supplies. They have the only fuel dock in the area providing Diesel and Gas to boaters all year long. They also offer free Wi-Fi, laundry and shower facilities. The boat launch is the safest in the area and their fully furnished guest house provides the most beautiful views of the marina and the Douglas Channel. Kitimat’s best fishing season is from June through September, where you can catch Spring Salmon, Pinks, Steelhead, Chum, Coho, and Winter Springs. Crab, Halibut, and Cod can be caught locally year-round.
