Nutshell Sail

May 24, 2016

At Michele Stevens Sailloft on 2nd Peninsula near Lunenburg their slogan is “Sails for Small Ships and Tall Ships” and they are definitely walking the walk. Having made sails for the 130ft schooner Columbia and her sistership, they recently delivered a new mainsail for the 80ft schooner Argia which sails out of the historic port of Mystic, Connecticut. In the “Small Ship” department one of the smallest sails ever was just made for a Nutshell pram using lightweight spinnaker cloth. The loft is always busy serving the local sailing fleet with sails, cushions and canvas work.
