Jeanneau Owners’ BVI Rendezvous 2016

At the recent Jeanneau Owners’ Rendezvous in the British Virgin Islands, Jeanneau owners, dealers and a few friends were treated to a week of experiencing the benefits of the yachting lifestyle in a gorgeous setting. Partnered for this occasion with Sunsail, the BVI Rendezvous event is held every two years and it has developed a growing group of participants who are enamoured not only with the BVI’s but also with the Jeanneau community. This event is unique in that it is the only destination rendezvous that Jeanneau does, drawing a large group of owners and quite a few North American dealers.

The itinerary for the week is packed full of events that take full advantage of the beautiful cruising grounds as well as many of the hottest local attractions. Guest speaker Gary Jobson, world class sailor, television commentator and Vice President of the International Sailing Federation, gave a moving talk to the group.

Paul Fenn, Past President of Jeanneau America, noted that upwards of 40% of this year’s attendees were owners of their second or third Jeanneau yacht. Paul expressed his feelings about the rendezvous by quoting one of the attendees who stated that she had ‘never seen a happier group of people in (her) life’.

Benefits of attending this event this year included Canadian Yachting customized Tilley Hats, Helly Hansen gear and one lucky owner winning the Sunsail charter raffle grand prize.

Other Jeanneau community events are taking place throughout the year. The French Rendezvous in Palma, Mallorca is only days away, running May 6 to 9, 2016. This gathering will feature the stunning Jeanneau 64, purchased in Canada and delivered by Shawn Bannon and the Navy Point Yacht Sales team to its new owners in Canet en Roussillion in the south of France. This is a great opportunity to experience both the Jeanneau 54 and Jeanneau 64 in exceptional conditions.
