Vancouver Island boater’s, the Brentwood Bay Power Squadron has an open invitation to join them for some fun filled summer cruising. 

 You DO NOT have to be member of BBPS to attend these cruises – the more the merrier!  Friday Harbour PS; consider this an open invitation to join us anytime! Just let us know for marina bookings.

Please note:

i.  Reply dates are all 7days before the start date for the cruise in question. Note exception: Victoria – Ron Harris Memorial Cruise.

ii. There will be Pancake Breakfasts on Sunday mornings. (volunteers please).

iii.  Unless I already have them, please make sure I have your names, emails, boat length, boat name & cell numbers so I can let the marinas know.

iv. I will have made bulk reservations, but Skippers are responsible to make their own marina bookings. So why not sit down and book the marinas right now? Then it’s done. You can always cancel if something comes up, but if you wait you may be out of luck!

Tahiti—Updates from Paradise

I’ve been to Tahiti seven times—six on charter and once as crew for a couple of yachties. Over the 25 years that I’ve been visiting, it’s changed dramatically. Yet, inexplicably, it has also stayed the same.

Lounging on the flybridge of our Sunsail 454, I had time to think about this dichotomy as I toasted the nighttime skies of Bora Bora and specifically the Southern Cross, a constellation that never fails to hypnotize. As the Crosby, Stills & Nash (1982) tune reminds us:
