Thinking about next summer ….

On the Friday of this year’s Chester Race Week I had the opportunity to watch the racing from the “media boat” ably helmed by Race Week Co-Chair Pat Nelder. It was flat calm as we headed out to watch the start and for a while it looked like things might not get underway at all. We were even attacked by horseflies in the middle of the bay. But the wind did come up and with us on the boat was Halifax photographer Steve Jess, who took some nice shots of the action. I include them just because it’s November now and we need to remind ourselves just how great getting out on the water will be when summer comes again.

Next summer Chester Race Week will be held August 14 – 17.
