Amsterdam interdit les bateaux de plaisance à moteur thermique sur ses canaux

À partir du 1er avril 2025, la ville d’Amsterdam, capitale des Pays-Bas, interdira les bateaux de plaisance à moteur thermique sur les canaux de son centre-ville. « Cette mesure vise à améliorer la qualité de l’air en supprimant les émissions de CO₂ et de particules fines issues des moteurs thermiques », a rapporté Bateaux.com

« L’air pollué de la ville est mauvais pour la santé des habitants », souligne la municipalité, qui souhaite ainsi favoriser une navigation plus propre et silencieuse. Désormais, seuls les bateaux électriques, à hydrogène ou propulsés à la rame seront autorisés à circuler sur ces voies navigables emblématiques. » De plus, cette interdiction devrait considérablement réduire le bruit ambiant, explique la municipalité.
