Acquisition aux États-Unis de Safe Harbor Marinas par Blackstone Infrastructure

Le 24 février dernier, Sun Communities, Inc. a annoncé un accord définitif pour la vente de Safe Harbor Marinas à Blackstone Infrastructure pour 5,65 milliards de dollars US. Cette dernière est une division de la société d’investissement mondiale Blackstone. La  transaction concerne les 138 marinas de Safe Harbor aux États-Unis et à Porto Rico.

L’accord permet à Sun Communities, l’ancien propriétaire, de se recentrer sur ses principaux segments de maisons préfabriquées et de véhicules récréatifs. « La transaction devrait être conclue au deuxième trimestre de 2025, sous réserve des conditions de clôture habituelles », a indiqué Blackstone par voie de communiqué.

Aucune information n’indique que Safe Harbor Marinas a des activités au Canada. Par conséquent, il est peu probable que cette acquisition ait un impact direct sur des clients canadiens. Rappelons toutefois que l’on trouve trois marinas sous la bannière Safe Harbour sur le lac Champlain, un secteur de navigation que fréquentent de nombreux plaisanciers québécois.
