Sneak Peek: April Canadian Boating

March 12, 2026

Spring into summer with the April 2026 issue of Canadian Boating magazine heading to your mailbox your way shortly. (Not a subscriber?  Click here )

The highlight of the April issue is our major feature, 32 Awesome New Boats for 2026! Each Boat listing includes essential dimensions, descriptive copy, pricing information and a glamour photo for you to enjoy. It’s like the boat show in print!

And there’s lots more in the April issue. Hey Siri!  –  Craig Ritchie writes a Tech Feature about the high-tech, voice activated systems on board new boats. Another must-read technical topic is by Lyle Pahl and it’s all about “Looming”. That’s a technique for securing the wiring inside your boat to prevent a wire from coming loose, causing a spark, or even electrifying the running gear.

We have two beckoning Canadian Boating Destinations to inspire your summer vacation plans, one in Eastern Canada one in the West. The former is The Saint John River in New Brunswick where you can easily rent a boat and cruise. The scenery is gorgeous and the history of the area is rich and interesting.

At the other end of Canada is our Destination feature about cruising through the Okanagan, enjoying the spectacular boating and the area’s famous wineries.

Also, in the April issue we bring you a performance review on the Bennington 22 MSB luxury pontoon and to close out the issue, with one of his out-of-control, highly-fictional columns yet, John Morris tells us What’s New in Onboard Pizza Ovens for 2026!

Watch for the April issue CB, coming soon!

The Best of Two Worlds

One could be forgiven for assuming this valley was purpose-built for nautical fun, with a few delightful perks thrown in to make the area entirely irresistible (wine-tasting, anyone?).
