Prince George 1

Dec 21, 2017

We have a small unaffiliated club and we attempt to hold races every three weeks or so during our short season. Because of our limited number of boats we assign handicaps and all race together. Depending on conditions some times the small craft have an advantage, sometimes it is the opposite.

Our club is located on Cluculz Lake. There is a small island approximately 2 miles, generally upwind. Again depending on conditions we race around the island and back to the club or we race around markers in front of the clubhouse. The races are generally low keyed and there is a social gathering after everyone is back at the docks.

One could be forgiven for assuming this valley was purpose-built for nautical fun, with a few delightful perks thrown in to make the area entirely irresistible (wine-tasting, anyone?).
