New Jet Boat Models From Rec Boat Holdings, LLC

Glastron GT207

Rec Boat Holdings has rolled out two additional jet models for their Glastron and Scarab brands. The Glastron GT207 and the Scarab 215 follow after the introduction of their smaller sister models, GT187 and Scarab 195, respectively. The company announced an aggressive launch plan last May for both brands and has not disappointed.

The introductory models were in production within four months and now the expansion to each brand offering comes only eight months after announcing the entry into jet propulsion models. All are powered by BRP’s Rotax® 4-TEC® 1503 jet propulsion system.

GLASTRON 207
On the heels of the GT187, the all-new GT207 delivers on additional space and additional fun. The open bow jet boat has a super spacious cockpit with plenty of storage and amenities for all day fun. Measuring a full 21′ 10″ with 8′ beam, the GT207 has a full, low profile extended swim platform adding extra legroom and wakeboard prep area while on the water. The transom seating area features full seating with angled back rests and an easy non-skid walk-through into the cockpit – without stepping on any cushions. Once inside, the oversized cockpit area with u-shape extra-comfort seating creates the perfect playpen for plenty of family and friends. The signature Glastron helm features comfort ride seating with optional bolster seating for added comfort and convenience and full, custom gauges to monitor your time on the water. The wide open bow area brings additional storage as well
as plenty of comfortable seating for passengers. The feature-packed GT207 is built on the Glastron SSV® hull delivering a perfect ride every time. Rotax power options, ranging from 200-250 hp, provide plenty of power for the new model. The GT207 comes standard with a custom matched trailer.

SCARAB 215
The company expands the brand new Scarab line of jet boats with the Scarab 215, a twin engine 21-footer with plenty of room for any on-water activity. As with the recently introduced Scarab 195, this new model will be available in three configurations – 215 Standard, 215 HO and 215 HO Impulse.

Power options on each model are twin 150-hp Rotax with the Scarab 215, twin 200-hp Rotax with the Scarab 215 HO and twin 200 hp or 250 hp Rotax with the Scarab 215 HO Impulse. The new Scarab 215 packs plenty of features including the exclusive Versa-Lounge transom seating allowing your passengers three different ways to catch some rays from the back of the boat. Once in the cockpit, custom upholstery and perfectly appointed colour accents make the Scarab line of boats stand head and shoulders above all the rest. Step into tradition or step up with added amenities as you move up the line. The Scarab line up is answering the needs of water sports enthusiasts as well as the casual boater. All Scarab boats come standard with custom-matched trailer.

“We’re excited to be showing these new jet boat models at the New York National Boat Show, as well as other key shows around the world,” stated Roch Lambert, Group President, Rec Boat Holdings. “Our dealer networks have been very excited with our progress and the finished products with our new jet boat lines. We have very aggressive goals for the show season and are confident these new boats will help boost our success.” Lambert stated.

New Boats: Beneteau Oceanis 34.1 – A Sleek, Good -Looking Delight To Sail

By Katherine Stone

There is nothing more that I enjoy than being with friends and messing about in boats. Messing about in brand-new boats on a champagne sailing day on Lake Ontario at the beginning of the summer doesn’t get any better. To have the new owner, Helmuth Strobel and Anchor Yachts dealer Pancho Jimenez aboard made it even more special, as they can also speak to what they truly enjoy about the boat. We keep our own boat in a harbour that has a long waiting list for boats over 35 feet, so this little gem would definitely fit the bill and feels like a much bigger boat. True to the spirit of the 7th generation Oceanis line, the 34.1 is built in Poland and replaces the 35.1. It is 1,000 lbs lighter, 14 cm narrower and has 29% more sail area.
