New Brunswick’s Largest Boat Show Draws Big Crowds And Strong Sales

Moncton Boat Show

Visitors came in droves to kick off the upcoming boating season at the 2015 edition of the Moncton Boat Show, which took place March 27-29 at the Moncton Coliseum. Again this year, the show was co-located with the Dieppe Fly Fishing Forum and the NB Sportsmen’s Show, offering those who attended lots of opportunities to plan their spring and summer outdoor season!

“Attendance was up a healthy 15% this year,” said Scott Sprague, Show Manager. “People were anxious to put the past few months in the rearview mirror and start thinking about the upcoming boating and fishing seasons, seeking out outdoor products and services… all great therapy from a brutal maritime winter.”

Exhibitors were pleased not only with the overall attendance, but also with the quality of visitors who attended the show, as evidenced by the strong interest shown and robust sales.

“The 2015 Moncton Boat Show was a definite success for us,” said Kenneth Savoy with Cabano Marine et Sport Inc. “It was the best show we’ve been to in the past two years – we are still writing orders today with more to come. We were happy to be part of this year’s show and are already looking forward to being involved in a bigger way next year.”

“We had the best Friday we’ve ever had at any show, at any time,” said Brad Fleet with MCT Insurance. “Overall we had a fantastic show – we talked to tons of quality visitors and we love coming to this show and the Moncton Coliseum. The restaurant is great, the facility is clean, and the show is always well organized. We haven’t had much better!”

“Our 2015 Moncton Boat Show sales results were our best ever since we started attending this show,” said Dave Trott with Seamasters Services. “We were very pleased with the customer traffic and the quality of the customer at this show.”

Congratulations to Laurie Mercer, who won this year’s door prize, a Crestliner CRV 1457 courtesy of Iron Wind Marine and Crestliner!

Thank you to Discover Boating, Iron Wind Marine and Crestliner for their generous support of this year’s show, along with the show’s media partners: C103 and XL Country 96.9.

Throw away the box, this is some fresh thinking

Seemingly part sailboat and part spaceship, the new Jeanneau Yachts 55 just busted through the boundaries of traditional yacht design. I couldn’t take my eyes off the bubble hardtop that met me at the dock and I stepped aboard with trepidation. A few hours later, I was planning how to spend my not-yet-won lottery winnings.

Paving the Way to Cleaner Boating – How a Commitment to Reducing our Environmental Impact is Inspiring Cleaner Boating in Ontario

By Dave Rozycki

Over the past seven decades, Ontario’s marina industry has developed alongside some of Canada’s largest freshwater lakes. However, by embracing innovative solutions and adopting sustainable practices, both marinas and boaters hold the key to preserving and enhancing the quality of our lakes and marine life for generations to come.
