Former Port Darlington Marina opens as Bowmanville Marina

Bowmanville Marine SignWhile the marina, onsite hotel, and restaurant will have its official opening on June 19, the developer, Kaitlin Corporation’s, long-term plan includes a quarter billion-dollar investment that will revitalize the area into a multipurpose community space consisting of a marina and clubhouse, resort hotel and spa, restaurant, event venue and residential condos that will be anchored by its Lakebreeze and Port of Newcastle communities.

The lakeside Bowmanville Marina offers has 150 boat slips and amenities include free hydro hook-up, barbeques, picnic tables, ice stations, restrooms, showers, laundry facilities, vending machines, full-service gas and pump out dock, transient dockage, 25 Ton Travelift and on-site marine mechanic, security and a nearby public boat launch. It also offers boating and fishing charters and hosts summer events and entertainment.

Since acquiring the marina in December of last year, the developer has completely refurbished the existing onsite Inn and Suites with a half-million-dollar renovation. The hotel now encompasses a selection of well-appointed guest rooms with new luxurious beds, contemporary bathrooms, smart TV’s, air conditioning and high-speed internet. The Deck Bar & Grill, a fully licenced pier side restaurant has also undergone extensive renovations. Additionally, there is an event venue that offers a large selection of event packages for 30 to 300 people for gatherings such as showers, weddings, and reunions.
