Nominate Your Boating Heroes Today

Nominations close on October 28th, 2019

The Canadian Safe Boating Council (CSBC) is a volunteer charitable organization. Our mission is to reduce the incidence of injuries and fatalities across Canada that occur as a result of recreational boating activities through innovative, relevant and effective measures. The CSBC recognizes and celebrates people, communities, and companies who understand current boating safety culture, and strive to influence and advance the industry through effective communication. With an in-depth and vast understanding of boating safety activities, CSBC is uniquely positioned as a veteran in the boating safety industry. The CSBC is at the heart of the boating community and works closely with a variety of stakeholders and partners in the marine industry to promote and recognize excellence in boating safety and those who positively impact our local waters. Recognition provides an opportunity to showcase their commitment and heighten their efforts and together we can acknowledge boating heroes who make a difference.

Who are these heroes? A family or individual who saves a life; a boating safety advocate, a volunteer or teacher whose passion for boating engages people and influences boating safety; a professional with a legacy of work dedicated to boating safety, a member of the media or an industry partner who embraces boating safety. They are all heroes, and we want to share their stories.

The Best of Two Worlds

By Mathew Channer

One could be forgiven for assuming this valley was purpose-built for nautical fun, with a few delightful perks thrown in to make the area entirely irresistible (wine-tasting, anyone?).
