Chad embarked on a career with Parks Canada in 1999, beginning his Trent Severn journey as a student at the world- renowned Peterborough Lift Lock.  Chad then inherited his father’s legacy as a respected Lockmaster.  Chad now oversees operations of the Trent Severn Waterway and has elevated the system to “North America’s finest interconnected system of navigation”.  Dedicated to the community and to family, Chad coaches junior hockey in the winter in the Peterborough area and enjoys cruising with his family during the summer months.  While at anchor, the Buchners enjoy ice cream and candy at a local marina in Haliburton.
