See the recently updated Boat Blue resource for the national laws and best practices for marine mammal and boater safety. Updates include the newly announced 2022 “Management Measures for the endangered Southern Resident Killer Whales” (Pacific Coast) which involve sanctuary zones, increased minimal approach distances, and fishery closures. Aquatic invasive species are non-native plants, animals and parasites that can cause economic or environmental harm and spread quickly to other areas.
