Mark Collett Joins Canadian Yachting

After 12 years at Pacific Yachting magazine, most recently as Publisher, Mark Collett will be joining Canadian Yachting's team to head up the Western Canadian division and develop a truly national Canadian boating magazine.

"Mark's solid experience in both the boating and publishing industries will expand our efforts to provide Canada with the national reach and scope it should have," commented Elizabeth Kerr, Canadian Yachting's publisher.

In order to do this, Canadian Yachting is also pleased to announce that Duart Snow, long-time marine editor, will be heading up the west coast editorial team to deliver better-focussed editorial while effectively targeting the Pacific boating market.

Through specific efforts, Canadian Yachting's present circulation and distribution will be increased and local advertisers will be able to take advantage of stronger, locally written editorial and more qualified readers in their target marketplace while gaining national exposure as well.

In addition to Duart Snow, Stephen Fountaine will be on board working with national marine and lifestyle clients.

"We see this alliance as a great opportunity to finally build a truly national Canadian boating magazine that will have the scope and scale to compete not only here in Canada but globally as a 'must use' brand for those companies that want a qualified paid audience.

"With an experienced publishing team and an editorial platform second to none, both in print and digitally, I am thrilled to be working with a magazine that has consistently delivered quality editorial to an audited circulation. These are key ingredients for success", said Collett.

Kerrwil was founded in 1964 and is Canada's oldest privately held publishing company. Canadian Yachting, established in 1971, is Canada's oldest national boating magazine with the largest paid, home-delivered, audited distribution in the country.
