It’s a change how much Europe focus we are getting these days. Here at OnBoard we are suddenly  receiving a surprising amount European boat info. It’s probably no surprise that Beneteau, Hanse, and Axopar are introducing their boats in Europe but two weeks in a row I have received press releases from Brunswick Corporation – a US name if ever there was – about European launches.

Earlier this month it was the Navan C38 world-launching at the Cannes Show and just yesterday I received a release announcing that the Quicksilver Boats New 625 Open unveiling would happen in La Rochelle, France (we’ll show pictures and info in an upcoming issue.)

While it’s impossible for zero-expert in international affairs like me to gauge what’s really happening, I don’t think t’s an exaggeration to say that for Canadians, Europe is increasingly where it’s at.  In addition to the political noise, they seem to have some great designers and builders on that continent whose work got lost in the North American marketplace. That situation appears to be changing.
