Shark World Championship coming to Belleville

The 2026 Shark World Championship are coming up this weekend at Bay of Quinte Yacht Club, Belleville Ontario. A total of 49 boats is set to compete coming from Canada, USA, Germany and Austria. Racing is scheduled to start on June 28th.

The Shark 24 World Championship is held annually, rotating between Canada and Europe, involving about 40 boats (120 sailors) from Canada, USA, Germany, Austria and Switzerland, plus international judges and race officers, and volunteers.

The Shark 24 Worlds are open for viewing by the public from Belleville’s Meyers Pier, when races take place south of the Pier.
