After 55 years of family ownership, Rigging Shoppe marine supply store in Toronto, announces an important new chapter.  While some other marine outlets have vanished, the Rigging Shoppe happily lives on and will be there as always.

The highly experienced family team,  Diane and Paul Reid, have taken over ownership, bringing their years of on-water experience and passion for boating to the helm. The Rigging Shoppe has been a go-to where GTA boaters could be assured of knowledgeable advice and a broad inventory. Annually, the Rigging Shoppe had a busy presence at the Toronto Boat Show.

Diane Reid is a professional skipper with offshore and local sail racing experience. She is an accomplished rigger and respected instructor. Paul Reid has over 30 years of racing experience and a love for fishing and power boating.

“We are thrilled to continue the tradition of excellence that Rigging Shoppe has upheld for so many years,” said Diane Reid. “We look forward to serving the marine community with the same dedication and care.”

Carolyn Burgess, the previous owner, will remain full-time for the next two years to ensure a smooth transition. Her continued presence will help maintain the familiar and trusted atmosphere customers have come to expect.

Customers can look forward to the same top-quality products and knowledgeable staff, along with new products and initiatives that combine Diane and Paul’s fresh perspective with their extensive expertise.

Frind has an Italian style brick pizza oven for gourmet pizzas and a great selection of other menu items.  You can eat on the patio, at a picnic table, on the beach, or on the lawn. You can also get your order to go and enjoy your meal out on the lake.
