European builders take their pedal boats pretty seriously (how can anyone take this seriously???). The lineup of wacky boats stopped traffic at the boot show in Dusseldorf earlier this month – OnBoard editor John was there in disbelief to take these shots!

Electronics are usually the single biggest difference between a brand-new boat and one that you might have bought five or ten years ago. The tech advances have been coming thick and fast for several years now and show no signs of slowing down. In this feature, we have selected a series of the latest electronics products with an emphasis on great new Multifunction Displays since those are the gateway to the world of functions that you can add to your boat.
We hardly need tell you about the pandemic but it’s worth noting that the marine industry is acting to mitigate the situation where it can. That makes this Photo of the Week an ultra timely. Let’s hope we can take these signs down soon.
To be honest, as yet we aren’t really managing anything on the water yet, but it has been trying to get the boat ready for launch.
The dockage rates posted on the Cheticamp HA website gave the dockage rate for transient recreational vessels as $55.00 +HST per night, as posted in 2013.
The skies are moody and weather remains a little fluky, but soon we’ll be into the all-too-brief boating summer. Shelley from Prince Edward County shared this shot of the marina by the dock of the Glenora ferry. The free(!) car carrier that connects the east end of the County to the eastern Ontario mainland.

The Pursuit S 268 Sport centre console is a do-it-all kind of boat with a solid sense of style. Centre console designs have been developed for the southern blue water sport fishing enthusiasts (and this boat would raise fish with the best of them) but the Pursuit S 268 Sport centre console offers far more utility and enjoyment than just fishing.
Ron and Pat Reder started out in October 1984 across the road from where they are right now on the Bayfield River in Bayfield ON. The store front was about 10 x 20 and the rest of that side of the building was a stock room, wood finishing room, then behind that was more back stock and the lunchroom. Expanding every few years for the store front, then moving over to this new building five years ago, this year with Adam, Shelley, and Holly are carrying on the business.
