The October issue of Canadian Yachting, Canada’s boating magazine arrives in a few days!  You won’t want to miss our annual Waypoints Cruising Issue as we share ideas for both bareboat and captained chartering of power and sail catamarans in exciting sun destinations plus, chartering tips for any level of experience.

Our Featured article is The Other Virgin Islands. Mark Stevens shares a great story on his experiences in the less-visited United States Virgin Islands. For those with less boating experience or who want a deluxe experience, Zuzana Prochazka focuses on chartering with a captain and keeping it simple. Pack your bags because you will want to be there after reading these great stories!

Also, in this issue of Canadian Yachting, Andy Adams reviews the exciting new Wellcraft 355 adventure yacht. Club racers will relish Katherine Stone’s introduction to the new J9 by J Boats.

In DIY, Matt Bera shares his experience planning an electric re-power of his 26’ Contessa. Matt’s boat is ready-to-go and he tells the story in Part 1 of this transition. Bayfield Marine Turns 40 with Big April Events

Ron and Pat Reder started out in October 1984 across the road from where they are right now on the Bayfield River in Bayfield ON. The store front was about 10 x 20 and the rest of that side of the building was a stock room, wood finishing room, then behind that was more back stock and the lunchroom. Expanding every few years for the store front, then moving over to this new building five years ago, this year with Adam, Shelley, and Holly are carrying on the business.
