POTW: Thornbury parts swap success

Parts Swap

May 26, 2022

Multiple Photos of the Week from this gear swap!

Thanks to Louise from Gyles Sails and Marine for catching us up on this weekend’s massive parts swap.

“After a Covid-induced hiatus of 2 years it was great to be back offering our annual Part Swap! The rainy weather didn’t deter our sailors. Boaters from Owen Sound, Medford, Thornbury and Collingwood came to sell, swap, or give away their boating wares. From dock lines to survival suits and everything in between! “

Now the boats are in the water and it’s YOUR TURN to take the Photo of the Week. Anything boat related – kids, dogs, bloopers, signs laughs – you pick. Send your shots to cyonboard@kerrwil.com and put POTW in the subject line. Provide a little back story and we’re good to go; your shot will be the photo of the week!

I reach for the VHF to radio the lockmaster in charge of Erie Canal’s Lock 32 dead ahead. Our boat spins gently in the current like a maple key in a mud puddle.

“This is Onondaga,” I say. “Headed westbound and requesting passage.”
