POTW: Ice On Lake Ontario, January
Mar 25, 2021
Here’s a dramatic photo of the Week from Jansin Ozkur
“Walking along the lake Ontario, noticed the interesting ice formations in the shape of rings and used my cellphone to capture the photo.
“The photo I sent you consists of 3 different shots. The main background was shot with my cellphone, I thought the ring shaped ice formations was very interesting and took a few shots from the shores of Lake Ontario, in Niagara-on-the-Lake. I had it in my phone for a week or so, kept looking at it, the sky was bare, though the ice was interesting it looked lifeless. I transferred it to my computer and then added the sky. It looked more dramatic with clouds and the sunset. Something was still missing, thought of putting seagulls or some other birds, but ended up superimposing a boat picture, which added some life to it.”
The next Photo of the Week is yours! Now that we are into March, let’s hope it doesn’t show ice formations but the content is up to you. To be seasonal, it could be spring prep, launch or any other boat-related content.
Followers of POTW will know that our photos vary widely, so please add to the diversity with your own personal touch.
Just send the shot to CYonboard@kerrwil.com and put POTW in the subject line. We are looking forward to a new crop of shorts to kick off the season
