News: NMMA cancels Miami and eight other winter boat shows
Nov 5, 2020
We’re not the only ones suffering from boat show withdrawal. Late on October 28, 2020, the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA), announced the cancellation of the 2021 Miami International Boat Show and eight other of their winter boat shows.
Many of us from north of the border include a show or two in our winter travel plans. But even if you have cancelled those plans, you won’t miss the shows because they too have been shut down. Cancelled for the winter of 2021 only:
• Atlanta Boat Show
• Baltimore Boat Show
• Chicago Boat Show
• Louisville Boat, RV & Sportshow
• Miami International Boat Show
• Minneapolis Boat Show
• Nashville Boat Show
• New York Boat Show
• St. Louis Boat & Sportshow
Proceeding as scheduled so far:
• Atlantic City Boat Show – February 24-28, 2021, with the option to delay the show to early April 2021
• Northwest Sportshow – March 25-28, 2021 Postponed to a later date:
• New England Boat Show – NMMA is working with the Boston Exhibition & Convention Center to obtain dates later in the first quarter or early in the second quarter
For the three shows currently proceeding as scheduled or postponed to the spring, plans will be guided by NMMA’s ‘health and safety first’ principle and are subject to change. NMMA will continue to closely monitor the situation in each market and work with federal, state, and local authorities on those events.
