Metro Regatta

The Metro Regatta, now in its third year on the Halifax Waterfront, takes place August 4-5 this summer. The Sail NS event, with race committee support from the Royal Nova Scotia Yacht Squadron, hopes to attract more than 35 boats.

The regatta has secured berthing spaces at Bishop’s Landing. All indoor events including the Saturday after-race party takes place at the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic.

Mobile Sailing SchoolMobile Sailing School to Set Sail

Led by instructor Carson Murray, who returns after a five-year absence, the Mobile Sailing School hits the road for seven weeks this summer during July and August. Communities it will visit are: Pictou for 2 weeks, Antigonish, Tatamagouche (Barrachois), Shortts Lake, Grand Lake, and Ketch Harbour. Sail NS lookis forward to introducing kids and communities to the benefits of sailing in the school’s six Optis.
