The CPS-ECP Educational Department is looking for volunteers with editorial and proof reading skills to join our publishing team. Donate your valuable time and ease the workload on our existing volunteers. Volunteer salary and benefits will be the same as existing volunteers with the amazing feeling of seeing your work being used to advance our mission, vision and values.

There is a need to enhance the CPS-ECP Educational Department editorial and publishing processes. One of the ways that we can do this is to reduce the time taken to get our products to market with a few new volunteers. Course production needs to be speeded up while at the same time retaining direction, accuracy and content. At the same time we have to continue to keep the quality of our products as high as possible.

If you would like to join the publishing team please contact myself or ANEO J-R Lavergne, ANEO Brian Reis or ANEO Dave Bieman – our email addresses are in the National Directory.

Sailing into the Future at Antigua Sailing Week

By Mathew Channer

“Standby tack,” Canadian sailor Katy Campbell orders. The crew scrambles over the sheet lines and braces on the deck.

“Three, two, one, tack!”

I wait until the bow turns into the wind and the headsail snaps over, then crawl over the cabin top of Panacea X to the now windward side. The trim team smoothly sheets on the headsail and a competitor vessel shoots past our stern, feet away, as our Solana 45 beats eastward along Antigua’s south coast.
