New Glasgow Marina

New Glasgow Boatride

Apr 26, 2018

The New Glasgow marina is located about six miles up the East River of Pictou in the heart of the town of New Glasgow. Navigation is restricted to powerboats by the Trenton Connector bridge.

The revitalization of the New Glasgow Riverfront has added a recreational and leisure dimension for all ages and interests. The riverfront is home to a full-service marina, the Samson Trail, a 4km trail along the East River and the Pioneer Trail (2km) which connects the trail system to the east side of the town. Victorian style lampposts line the riverside and light the Town’s landmark George Street Bridge and the Samson Trail.

The revitalization along with the addition of Glasgow Square Theatre has brought new life to the downtown core and has become a focus for community celebration and festivities. It is also a major source of community pride and was realized through the dedication, imagination and vision of many residents, groups and businesses working together to make the dream a reality.
