Big Boats at Boot

Oct 12, 2017

Bow BulbRe: Photo of the Week – September 28

Thank you for bringing attention to bow bulbs. Actually we designed the bulb for that vessel, the Drettmann explorer yacht.

We do more bulb work on small craft than anyone in North America. With over 60 bulbs retrofitted and over a dozen new model tested and built craft, we have some of the most advanced technology. Some extreme success cases have shown a 3-knot increase after the bulb.

Brian this is incredible!
Thanks for the kind words. I meant exactly what I said, you and the rest of the crew have been a huge part of making me who I am today. Hope I can continue to make you proud. – Mike
Thanks again

Canada’s Superior: the North Shore

Story and photos by Jennifer M. Smith

We’d been north before on a short two-week cruise. At the time, we were unprepared for the isolation, the lack of cell phone coverage, and the spotty VHF reception. Since then we’ve repowered, installed Starlink, and retired from work. Now, with confidence in our engine and our connectivity and more time to sail, we were Superior-ready.
