Mercury Marine President John Pfeifer in New York on Product Leadership

John Pfeifer Mercury

Sept 19, 2016

Boating Industry Canada was recently in New York city for a very special media event hosted by Mercury Marine. What made this event special was that it was focused on presenting Mercury’s engines and boat-control technologies to journalists outside of the marine industry.

Andy Adams was the only Canadian marine journalist there while members of the mainstream media came to the MarineMax dealership at Chelsea Piers in New York to experience boats equipped with Mercury’s latest technologies such as joystick docking, virtual anchoring and the new Active Trim system. Journalists from the Huffington Post, Popular Mechanics, Fortune, Forbes and other non-marine media were impressed with how easy and intuitive the boats were to operate.

Mercury Marine president, John Pfeifer stopped to talk to us on video about the ideas that drive innovation and product leadership at Mercury. It’s also innovative to see a marine company do so much to reach out to mainstream media to demonstrate the pleasures of boating.
