IN THE OCTOBER 2016 CANADIAN YACHTING – “Waypoints Winter Cruising” is the theme and the timing is perfect for you to plan and book that “bucket list” Winter charter cruise for 2017!

The feature story is the “Millennials Charter” where a whole group of successful millennial generation sailors and racers head to the British Virgin Islands for an unforgettable Footloose catamaran cruise!

Next, life-long International cruising couple Sheryl and Paul Shard share their experiences about the easy-cruising destination of St. Martin and how they first learned to cruise. Their article focuses on how you can get started cruising and they offer lots of valuable suggestions based on their years of experience.

The Shards are the stars of the Distant Shores TV show and are originally from Ontario.

The Informed Boater, Rob MacLeod continues his three-part series, Confident Sailor / Reluctant Sailor by sharing his experiences with onboard power needs and power management while maintaining harmony with his mate.

Meet up with the Galley Guys at Rawley Resort in Port Severn, Ontario where they happen upon an old friend and make some new ones.

Bayfield Marine Turns 40 with Big April Events

Ron and Pat Reder started out in October 1984 across the road from where they are right now on the Bayfield River in Bayfield ON. The store front was about 10 x 20 and the rest of that side of the building was a stock room, wood finishing room, then behind that was more back stock and the lunchroom. Expanding every few years for the store front, then moving over to this new building five years ago, this year with Adam, Shelley, and Holly are carrying on the business.
