Parks Canada Offering New and Repeat Promotions for 2016: Check Them Out

New Boat Purchase at the Boat Show = Free Season of Lockage New this year, those who buy a new boat at the Toronto International Boat Show will receive from Parks Canada a FREE SEASONS PASS for lockage on Canada’s Historic Canals: The Trent-Severn Waterway, The Rideau Canal and The Quebec Canals.

Twice the Lockage for the Price of One

Once again this season, from May 20 to June 30, 2016 when boaters purchase a single lock & return permit or a one day permit at lockstations and present the special 2 for 1 coupon, they will receive a second permit of equal value for free!

Coupons will be distributed at the Toronto International Boat Show, the Ottawa Boat and Sportsmen’s Show, the Montreal Boat and Water Sports Show, the Spring Cottage Life Show in Toronto and to numerous Marinas and Cottage Associations.

Early Bird Offer for Purchases of Passes

Once again this season, avid boaters can continue to take advantage of Parks Canada’s early bird specials.  Until March 31, boaters will receive 10% off mooring with the purchase of a seasonal lockage & mooring package ($1 off per foot) or one free night of mooring with the purchase of a 6-day permit!

Parks Canada is proud of the unique boating experiences that Ontario has to offer. These promotional efforts are intended to encourage new and continued use of our beautiful waterways. Our valued partners in boating are invited to participate in these efforts by communicating them at every occasion to further expose Canadians and visitors to the many opportunities available on the Historic Canals and in all of Ontario.

Bayfield Marine Turns 40 with Big April Events

Ron and Pat Reder started out in October 1984 across the road from where they are right now on the Bayfield River in Bayfield ON. The store front was about 10 x 20 and the rest of that side of the building was a stock room, wood finishing room, then behind that was more back stock and the lunchroom. Expanding every few years for the store front, then moving over to this new building five years ago, this year with Adam, Shelley, and Holly are carrying on the business.
