24th Annual Dog Days of Summer Event

Dog Days

Hosted by the Union Steamship Company, the 24th Annual Dog Days of Summer fundraiser will be held this year on Sunday August 29th in Snug Cove, Bowen Island.

Dog Days is a full day of family-friendly doggie fun and all proceeds go to B.C. Guide Dog Services.

B.C. Guide Dog Services is a truly incredible and admirable organization that is committed to personally training pups to be support dogs for individuals who are visually impaired. Support dogs are extremely important in the independence, sense of safety, and comfort of those who are visually impaired. B.C. Guide Dog Services aims to increase availability of service dogs for those who need them. Autism Support Dogs is a new sister organization working with B.C. Guide Dogs aiming to provide professionally trained dogs for support for children with autism aged four to ten years old.

This year’s goal is to raise money to help continue the good work of this commendable organization.
